I bought some American wheels with new tires several months ago. I finally got them on the '73 Mav. Before and after pics coming up.
Nice wheels, but Terry, what the heck are you doing with shackles? You are old enough to know better! So, how many do you have now? Are you running fleet collector car insurance? Seth
I think you need to move that spring bolt down to the bottom hole. I cant quit see the last tread on the back of the tire. Wheels look great though.
I didn't put the shackles on there. A previous owner put them on there, I guess, so they would clear the big 205/70R-14's on the back. I have a new set of stock shackles ready to go on the car. It's all a matter of time.
I am currently in possession of nine. Five will crank up and run. Two are completely road worthy. The '71 is bought and paid for by MaverickGrabber. We should hook for delivery on Mar 5-6. Tylar Myles has agreed to buy the '74 Grabber and we should complete our business this coming weekend. Allen Small has agreed to buy my '76 shell and should come down around mid-March to get it. I am in liquidation mode. Be on the watch for the next Mav to be available.
Frank, when I get to the car (found it today), I'll take pics, post 'em, and tell the whole humiliating story. Thanks for bringing it up, you old goat.
terry, i brought it up because you are my "bestest friend" and you need to get it off your chest. everyone here will understand how it happened. we will have a good but it will be for your best...."your bestest friend"...frank...
Let me tell you guys this, you CANNOT miss Terry's house! We was goin' all slow through his 'hood lookin at each mailbox number, turn the corner and it's like.... WOW .... The man LOVES Mavericks! There everywhere! Wheels look great Terry!
I wish I could take credit for that little bit of genius to put those Bobcat on the orange Mav. Frank built this car and I've pretty much left it the way he did it. My daughter is designing her interior and we will complete that portion of the build.
