I need to know if the threads on my PS pump pressure hose on the bak of the reservor is a "conventional-left" or right hand thread. Im in the process of removing the pump for rebuilding or replacing. I don't want to round the 5/8 nut off, so want to make sure Im turning it in the correct direction. The pump is makin noise and leaking somewhere. This nut is the only thing keepin me from getting it off - it KMA today. Thanks.
Get a good set of tubing wrenches and you will minimze the chances of rounding it off. Using a regular open ended wrench will almost certainly lead to headache.
Thanks for that tip. I never thought abt that. I have them for brake lines but never thought abt larger set. I was just abt to go out and try it agn - glad I came here first. Im going to get a set now.
