Did they have emblems on the body........if so, how many and where? What about the gas cap, what would the original look like? Thank you
On the '76 and '77 cars, as far as I know, the only emblem on the outside of the car was the F O R D lettes accross the front of the hood. There was only one Maverick emblem, on the passenger side of the dash like all other Mavericks.
Yep, just noticed that for myself Added another car to my growing stable today. I was wondering about the outside emblems, as there isn't any on the car (except F O R D)....but it's been repainted so I didn't know if they were taken off and not put back on. So just F O R D it is, I guess! That's ok, still a SWEET car!!! Thanks for the info, guys!
Seems like we just had this discussion on another post. But there are badges on some of the '76 and '77s. I'm not sure if this is a plant specific thing or not. But my all original '76 has fender badging and my Dad's '77 also is badged. However, his '77 does not have anything on the dash.
This one maybe? http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=12760&highlight=emblems *Note to self: Search before posting a question
I was thinking of this one: http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=26500 I think there is an official answer (what was in the documentation) and what really happened. I figure that toward the end of something (like badging), the factories used up the existing inventory. Therefore, there might be a case where a '77 has a fender badge, dash badge, etc.
