Tried a search but couldn't find an answer. Would you need to cut the front to make it fit perfectly onto a Maverick?

Why use a GT hood? That is a Comet. The hood fits but will look funny. Just find a Mav hood and put the scoop on it.

Unless the scoop comes off without cutting I have no choice but to buy the hood from the person who is selling.

    Bolt on

The scoop is bolted on. Take it off and you can drill holes in a standard
Maverick hood and it will fit nicely. The Comet hood will likely be useless
after than unless someone is good at filling holes in a hood that will stand
    up to heat well.

Someone MIGHT want that hood for modifications. I WAS looking for one a while back. I have a different scoop I am putting on a second hood. I was hoping to find a hood that was good for cutting up. This would be one. Just saying, someone may want the scrap/spare hood. If it's the only way you will get the scoop then get it.

Gene, just acquired another Comet hood, WITH SCOOP! It would be a good hood to cut up as you say. I am thinking of putting the scoop on my Maverick. Side note, will be back in OKC next year maybe early spring.

Sorry for the threadjack, I am done now!
