Dug out my Grabber rear spoiler I've had for years, started fitting everything up,studs are good, drilled holes in decklid, what do the 4 pieces look like that go on the studs before the nuts,It came with 2 acorn nut cover looking pieces with a hole in the end,I don't think they are correct, anyone have a pic.of one,or good desciption, also have a set of sport mirrors,(mine had 1 chrome one on drivers door)can someone give me a measurement from front edge of door (at bodyline)to front screw hole, and down from body line, are both sides the same measurement? Thanks Jack
A tip on the mirrors: The earliest models had the sport mirrors further forward. For some reason, they moved them back from the fender after a year or two. IMO they are too far back on my 72 and 75. I would use the earlier measurement to mount them further forward if it were me starting from scratch. Just a thought.
Spork, thanks for the pics,at least I know what they look like,I'll have to fab something up,.........as far as the measurements,I'd like to mount them where a '71 Grabber would have been...Thanks Jack
I like where there at on my 70 grabber better then my 71grabber to. It seems easyer to quik glance in them without turning your head.
OK,Thanks guys, all I need now Is someone to walk out to their Grabber and get me some measurements....Thanks
If you run a search, you will find that this has been discussed numerous times before. The member "MikeG747" did a whole write up on installing sport mirror's last year. It is also a fact that the mirror's were installed in different locations from the factory, so one person's measurement on here might not match the next, despite that both cars had the mirrors from the factory.
