    Why is it when im on this site for a lone time, it will change all forums as read before I have read them?

    Once you visit the forum, you have 15 minutes to view new posts before they they are marked as "read".

    That explains A LOT!

    I've wondered why I've come across posts that I know I missed - but couldn't understand why.
    Now I know. :yup:


    What would be the harm in turning that thing off (if you can), Cheese?

    I made a mistake, unread threads are marked as "read" 15 minutes after you are no longer active on the forum.

    So if you click on the "new posts" button and step away from the computer before reading them all (or visit other sites) for more than 15 minutes and then come back, all the new posts will be considered read.

    Ill change the timeout to 30 minutes, which should lessen the chance of missing new posts.
