quick question about rearend swap

    94 mustang GT, '73 Comet GT 302 toploader 4-speed
    does a 8in housing from a 65 mustang swap with a 2 door maverick with no modifications?? Is a 4.10 ratio to much for the steet?? just a weekend driver and some strip thanks,

    not sure of the width. i believe there's some posts in the archives about the rear end widths from the different years. wether it's good for the street depends on wether you run on the freeway or just cruise locally in town. i think it's a little low for my taste. :)

    The rear will bolt right in.
    It is slightly wider than our stock rear.
    4.11 gears are great for weekend/strip, however your engine must be able to rev, otherwise you will feel like you are driving a truck.

    I looked through there, his chart is full of errors.
    Example:
    The Maverick/Comet didn't come with that many different rear end widths.
    The 8" was one common width from 69-77.

    This link is the best I have seen, however, it has some minor errors...
    The Granada and Versillies rear ends are not the same width.
