I put an electric fan on a few months ago and I love the diffrence it makes. And those radiator ties WOW, they hold great. Now, HOW DO YOU REMOVE THEM! :cry:I have a new radiator (alum) that I am installing and those ties are a bugger to get off. I am looking forward to the new radiator but these are slowing me down. Thoughts? (anyone care to buy a 3 core direct bolt in?) (opps, I am headed for the for sale section now!)

are they the the zip-tie plastic ones that go through the radiator? cut'em off if they are and you can get a new kit at your local parts store. ask'em for a trans cooler mount kit.:)

    Wire cutters...

A pack of four is only a couple bucks. I keep an extra pack handy, because I cannot seem to stop disassembling and reassembling my car.

If you get the ties at the store, try not to get the big fat round ones. they have a hard time making it through some radiators.:)

Maybe I did not ask the question well enough. After they are installed the end are cut-off. There is no way to gwt wire cutters on the strap portion. It is hard to describe but I only have access to the ends of the ties and not the tie itself. Make sense ?

some have a slot to stick a pin in to release the catch.
...like on a tie wrap...:yup: it will be a small hole next to where the pin sticks through.

drill them,,, just kidding!!! just have to work with it an maybe a razor blade, pull some slice,, just have to work it. I'm not a fan of them anymore, prefer to strap solid an not put holes in the fins.

Cut the locking disk to the center and it should come off.

If they are plastic use a pair of wire cutters - If it is metal then you might be able to use aircraft snips - if it is too thick for them then you may have to find a way to snip the pull under the lock. Maybe flush cutting end snips?
