What exactly is the correct core size for the radiator on a 73 maverick 302. The core measurements on mine, if I'm doing it right, is apx 19 inches, right to left, or side to side. Not the complete overall length, but just the finned core. The ones I find online are showing 2 sizes. 16 1/2 and 16 5/8? What's the correct one? Any help ?

    The core on my 3 core Champion #339 alum. is 16 3/8* 20 1/4 * 2 3/4. Overall size 22"h * 22 1/2. Hope this helps.

Ive had awesone luck with my 2 row rad through champion for my maverick..5 to 6 uears no leaks cools great
But their quality control is dick
Ive went through two 4 row rads for my 72 buick both leaked within a couple weeks of install well when I noticed anyways..

Both had leaky cores..which means 30 to 35 bucks to ship back on your dime and hope next rad is better..
Im not the only one with issues and truely think its an isolated issue with their gimmicky 3 and 4 row radiators
Theyre also chinese made if thats an issue with you

Reason I say gimmick is due to the small tube spaceing which is no better then the copper/ brass versions..mot big enough to benefit thr aluminum. ..

Also allot of the Mopar rads end up being warped
Sesrch on v8buick or forabodiesonly if you need to comfirm anything ive said
Ive not even addressed some of the fitment issues either
Tube length for stock rads are like 5/8
Most 2 row aluminum had a 1inch tube which outcools stock rebuilt 4row
You can get 2 row aluminum rads with a 1.25...best route just expect to pay about 500

Their gimmick of a 3 and 4 row have 7/8 length tubes. .
