About 12 years ago I saw the rarest Maverick ever to my knowledge. I was living In Wilmington North Carolina, working at a Hardees. When I saw a rather beat up Maverick coming through the line, but as a born and bred Ford man and BIG fan of the Maverick I walked over to see the car. When I got there I was floored when I noticed something Odd. I saw for the first and last time a Maverick with a hatchback. I spoke with the Owner, who to no surprise knew nothing about the car. But actually did let me see the hatch open and she was legit. Has anyone else seen such a car? And if so do you know any history of this? I've been searching for another for the rest of my life!
Welcome to the board. I have never heard of a Maverick hatchback. Are you sure it was'nt a Maverick that had been 'mated' to a Pinto hatchback? ( if that's even possible. )
I did say RARE . And I'm 100% sure it was a Maverick. I've had my '75 since I was about 14 years old, and I'm 30 now. And Pinto's are smaller. I've got to get to the bottom of this. Got to beat brains at Ford to find out where she came from.
Welcome to the board. Find out more about this hatchback cause now I want one. I have had A couple mavs in my time but never ever seen a hatch.
