RBS & YF Carburetors!

    Will they interchange? To be used on a 200CID!

    Yes, they are a bolt on swap except the air cleaner. Main thing you have to watch out for is what the YF is off of. If it came off a Econoline van it will not clear a Mav hood. If you find one from a F150 it will clear the hood but you will have to find a air cleaner to fit.

    I ran one off a '68 F100 for a while on mine until I got around to putting a rebuild kit in the original RBS.

    The reason I asked was because the carb on one of the mavs (a 6cyl 200) has two stripped screw holes (on the air horn) will take a couple of days to get a replacement carb (this one is a YF) I have a new (rebuilt) RBS in the box on the shelf , the RBS I know is shorter and does not have the two part body as does the YF, I was concerned with the linkage (being that it would be lower) So has anyone installed a RBS carb (that's for a 250 CID) on a 200CID ?
