Re-Upholstered Door Panels

    I got my door panels back from upholstery guy yesterday and got them installed today. I asked the guy to try and make them look somewhat period correct without going too far out on a limb and he came up with this. I’m still debating on painting the interior side of the door black (again) or leaving it blue.

    I don't believe the panels wud have the same visual effect w/ everything black.

    Those panels are really nice!

    Take pics from across the interior with the door closed and I think folks might get a better idea of whether or not to stay blue or go black with the paint.

    My gut says black, because I expect that the back panel and kicks are black. I think if the kicks and back plastic could match the door, unifying this, they would look good in blue.

    Kind of like how some Mustangs had white side panels mixed with a dark interior.
