I'm kicking around the Idea of pulling my existing fabric (comfort weave) off the Comet front and back, and having my Mother sew Leather together to recover them. Anybody have tips for removal of old material, intact. do I need a special tool to remove. Aren't there things called hog clips or something?

    What is involved?

A local Fabric store sells 50 sq foot hides of leather for $100. Anybody have the numbers for square footage or yards needed for the front and back seats. the Front seat is a bench for a 2 door.

Yes.... they should have "hog rings". Just some ordinary side cutters for removal and the hog ring pliers for installation.

Cool, I just remove the existing wire from the old fabric and have it sewn in the new material, (assuming I can use the old material as a pattern). Correct?
