Ive been looking into getting a set of hood scoops thatre cut out with mesh. can't find any. Does anyone know of a company that makes them? I would like them to be real and send more air under my hood. I'd hate to cut up the original ones I have since they're hard to come by. if anyone has a set. let me know. cash, trade plus cash etc. most not be a hack job. black will get you bonus points

Several sets that I have seen of the original ones people just drilled out the center grated area, I would think there is a way to get the Dynacorn ones there are a few Dynacorn distributors on this site so they will probably chime in and help you out

I have a set that are drilled out like Mike describes, I'll see if I can find the right box and post some pictures. Looks pretty straight forward and should be easy to do.

This excursion has led me to the conclusion I need to clean the garage, organize my parts better and get off my lazy butt and work on the car! At least I did find them though.

Wasn't looking to sell them, just giving an example of what was described. These have a hood to call home, sorry about the confusion.

One can purchase the new reproduction scoops made by Dynacorn at Melvins Classic Ford Parts.

Which is why I wouldn't hesitate to drill the originals!

    Hi Richard:
Seen your post .. I have some of the scoops that were ' cut out ' that I obtained some time ago . Can't remember when or where I got them.I know where ONE of them is .. but I'd have to locate the OTHER ONE naturally in order to help you . Let me see what I can turn up around here .. It's been hectic since we're building another car and parts are All Over The Place .. ( Too many places they could be ) .. I'll make a more thorough effort after we get Kim's Maverick out of the shop. I would sell them , I don't know what they're worth but I plan to use some Original Scoop Inserts on my Dynacorn Grabber Hood later on this year . I'll keep you posted.
