really... spun sfi balancer?

So this balancer has about 1k miles on it , went to check my timing today to find my graph was gone.. compared keyways to a stock balancer i had and you can see its about 45-50* off now. i spin it 7,000-7,500

so how does a sfi balancer spin?


Every time i drive this pile of sh*t it seems to cost me a couple hundred bucks

 

the sfi rating means it should not blow up. doesnt mean its construstion is good.

 

Id figure it would be better built then a stock one.

I'd make sure it didn't walk on the keyway, just in case.

 

I would contact the manufacturer. They may have had a bad run, never know they may replace it for free or at a reduced price.

 

key way looks great on both the balancer and the crank

 

I'm going to but I dont expect they will do anything.

I have a professional product sfi balancer i bought when i got my kit from coast high performance. Its still doing ok, but i dont spin to 7500 rpms. lol mine maxes out at 65

 

How old is it and below line is there a dent/damage?
Can you post front and rear pics? Just curious.

It was made in 2005 (paint stamp on rear face) but has sat in the box new till I bought and nstalled it this past fall when I bought the unassembled long block it was all balanced together

No damage to it just flaking paint that started about 3 months ago. Ill have to get more pics later
