But will have to settle for my OEM one for now. I will clean it up and paint this weekend. Was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as far as color goes. Black, stock grey color, or having it dipped in chrome.

The car is Acapulco Blue. What will look nice. All trim pieces have been redone in original finish.

    Thanks,
    Richard

im really curious to see what a steel/chrome (looking) grill would look like on a maverick. i think the metal looking finish on the comet grills look very nice. i actually used to think they were metal

good luck on the brazil piece...

Just a thought how about a different color of blue perhaps lighter, would be different

Keep your eyes open on eBay. Chrome ones pop every now and then. I picked up a mint condition one for $60 about 10 months ago. My 74 LDO came factory with a chrome one.

I havent ever seen a chrome grill for a 70 as they had the lights under the bumper but I suppose if you took the wires from the existing lights to the lights in the grill that would work. I took my chrome grill and painted between the fins black and I like the looks, dark but shiny.

BTW Ray your welcome for that nice grill it was the nicest grill I have had.

The Shelbys nice but Ford could have done better as far as making it worthy of the Shelby name its basically a high horsepower Mustang with Shelbys name on it, 500 horseys are nice though but you cant use it all.

When I first read the title on this thread I got a bit dislexic, I thought it said "Really want a Brazillian GIRL". Disillusioned, confused, but I should have known better.
