The rear panels in my 74 were originally tan but had faded to white and were crumbling apart. I had a perfect set of black panels to replace them but needed to change the color. The Krylon Plastic paint did not come in a shade to match the interior so I used a two step process.

First I coated them with Rustoleum Plastic primer .. similar to they Krylon Plastic topcoat I'm guessing.

Then I painted them with regular Saddle color paint ... it was almost a perfect match when compared to the original panels where they were still factory color behind the seat and not faded.

Not sure how durable they will be but since I don't really use the back seat too often at least it will look 100% better. I also included the only picture I have showing the old faded ones ..

The Georgia Meet is April 16th ... I'm trying to get as much as I can done on the 74 because I would like to bring both the Grabber the 74 with me. Unless the weather gets a whole lot nicer on the weekends I won't have the engine and the 3-speed swap complete on it but the interior will be finished. :)

The Saddle Tan worked well...I used the same color on the Comet but I still have the rear panels to do...not quite as big as yours as its a 4 dr.... they fade to a funky shade of color, not sure what to call it.
