I don't have pictures but I covered mine with black acoustical fabric (the type that speaker boxes are covered with. It was very easy and looks terriffic with the Alpine 6x9 speakers mounted on it. Just glued it on with some spray-adhesive. Looks like it came from the factory that way...

My rear deck is carpeted with the same type of carpet that is on the floor. It looks like it's always been there. It was on there when I got the car and I always thought it came factory that way until I was told they never had carpeted rear decks. I like it.:)

My original piece fell apart years ago. I made a new one using tempered wallboard like you put on shower walls. A 4 X 8 sheet costs less than $10 at a home improvement store. Made a cardboard template first, then when that was right traced it on to the wall board. I painted mine Satin Black. The stuff is water proof so it should last a very long time. I used the same material to make new inner door panel, too.

i went to the fabric store got some stuff i think they use to make stuffed animals with looks like felt but a little longer...cut it a little over sized and used spray glue to glue it in place around the edges of the board..
i think it looks good <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:oops:ffice:oops:ffice" />

I bought a repro from REM manufacturing. They don't advertise it but they have the original factory template and can cut any holes you need correctly. I didn't have rear speakers but I did have them cut out for the Factory defogger that I have not yet installed ....

My upholstery guy made mine and covered it in black vinyl like the seats.
No stitched pattern, just plain.

I went to the local parts store that sold Dash Designs (dash pads). I ordered one for the front. Then noticed they had one for the rear deck also. So, ordered that one too. I had to cut the holes for the speakers & rear window defogger. I think it looks good & it protects the rear seat back also (nice plus). I think the price was $49.00 for the reardeck pad. Then I found a new reproduction rear deck panel (REM) on Ebay (last year). They are in Annville, Pa. I ordered 2 of them (1 black & 1 tan). No holes cut in them. I believe thay were $25.00 a piece. I just gave Ray the black one for his 72 Maverick. Still haven't installed the tan one. I need to cut the holes when I do install it (if I ever do). LOL
