I would like to switch from 1 3/4 inch brakes to 2 inch brakes, Can I use my current backing plates? What drums with the correct center hole. This is a hotrod Henry J with a narrowed Maverick housing>
    Thanks

I don't know about the back-plates, but Granada drums would work if you had a '74-'77 Maverick axle housing with the larger axle stub. I don't know what 2-inch drums (if any) have the correct diameter center hole for the early Maverick housing...

Ford Master Parts, lists one backing plate for '71-'77, with 1¾" rear brakes and no options. Mustang & Fairlane use a different part number for 1¾" vs 2" rear brakes as does Granada for it's 2" brakes.

    I'm gonna say no.
