    1972 COMET
first i would like to say hi to everybody!!! i have been a chevy guy my whole life, but now as i am getting older i have taken a liking to all kinds of cars. this morning i went out to the local junk yard and there was this 1972 comet sitting there. {ihave not been out there for awhile} so i asked the owner and he said some guy was supposed to buy it, but that was quite awhile ago. i said how much? he said $250.00!!!! so i bought it !! it has a 302, it is a four door, automatic. it has some rust but it is all there, and it runs!!!! could not stand to see another car go to the crusher. i was thinking about making it street/ strip car . would make a great sleeper!!! does anyone know what kind of tranny and rear end is under this car??? thanks for any info.:tiphat:

welcome to the board. it should have a c-4 with an 8" rear. if you post the numbers from the decal on the door someone here can decode it for you.:Welcome:

Unless it's been changed out before, it's like Don said, C4 tranny and 8" rear.

    Welcome aboard :Handshake
