So I pulled the front and rear glass today. The front had the nice gooey, sticky, tar butyl mess. The rear appears to have had nothing but the rubber seal. The only thing I found was under the rear seal at the bottom, a half inch wide strip of thin foam. Is this the way the rears were done from Ford?

Yes, they did put them in with just the gasket and the butyl tape at the bottom lip. I installed my back glass just like the front, with the butyl sealer, to be safe and avoid water leaks.
