    my mav has big rust holes that stretch from the wheel well to the bumper, inside the trunk. is that expensive to have fixed?

    Anytime you get anything done, it costs money. You just need to factor in your experience/confidence level, along with your financial situation. Seems like the going rate at the body shops I've been to are @$30-$40 per hour. To me, that is expensive, so most of the work(except tranny rebuild) I do myself. Plus I get more bragging rights doing it myself. You could always do a fairly inexpensive patch job with some of that new 3M panel adhesive--I've been wanting to try using that stuff myself--heard it works good.
