i was wondering if anyone knew if there is a car that has a rear seat that will fit a maverick and are a little bit thinner ?

i have 89 tempo front buckets and they leave little, almost no legroom for the stock rear seat

i'm kinda hoping for a camaro/firebird rear seat, the 98 firebird my aunt has has the most confortable rear bench i've ever riden in(better than first class airplane ones)

i've seen aftermarket ones but they are way too expensive for me

and ive seen really nice ones at the junkyard that i can get for $40

Someone here did a swap with Eclipse seats and they fit pretty good.

The "seats" in my old 3rd gen firebird were more like glorified foam cushions. They just set down in the well area there and the tranny tunnel was your arm rest. The backs were a little more involved. They had a simple hinge at the bottom and a latch at the top. Nothing too crazy. If you did get seats like that you'd probably want to cut out the associated hardware and mounting points and then weld those into the mav.

If you do measure the Firebird seats and find they might fit, stick with Firebird/TA donor cars from 93-up.
The reason I say this is because you could use Camaro/Z28 seats and think you were getting the same thing. However TAs got the best seats of them all, Firebird next, then the Camaros got junk for seats.

I recommend measuring your aunt's seats and getting a feel for if it will work.
TA front buckets are awesome. ;)
