When I had my 71 Comet GT I was always trying to figure out new styling idea's to try on the body.

One of them was to open the wheel wells even with the body line that runs down the length of the car.

The other was trying to visualize how a side window from a 69-70 Mustang fastback, or even a side window delete would look.

Anyone ever try this, or is anyone here good enough with photo shop to give us a preview?

I have seen BOTH right here on this message board.

Thack did the wheel well opening mod.

Somebody else did the side rear window mod on a blue Maverick/Comet. Hopefully somebody will post up some picture links so you can see them.

O.K...I found a few of Tammy and Tom Hackmann's 1972 Ford Maverick Grabber with the wheel well mods. These pictures are from the Maverick Comet Club International, Inc. (MCCI) 9th Annual Roundup Nationals in New Castle, Indiana waaaaay back in 2002.

Thanks for the pics, man, that makes a huge difference in the look of the whole car.

Here is that car without the rear side glass. Its very crude as I only have Window's Paint to do this, but it will give everyone an idea. I think it would look better if the top corner of the side glass was rounded like on a 65/66 Mustang fastback.
