Dose a Maverick Grabber rear spoiler fit on a Comet? or would that be too lame.

That wouldnt be lame at all. I think the spoilers look great! Why do you have one?

cuz if you do.... oh no they look horrible on comets, and it is extraordinarily lame looking! why not just save your rep and sell it to me! haha lol.

No, it wouldnt be lame. I think it would look cool on a comet. Go for it.

I will be painting my car in a few weeks. I was thinking of adding a Comet Gt hood Scoop and a spoiler from a Maverick.
Next is some wheels I found some 15x7 front and 15x8 rear from an '72 ford. I will post some pictures of the wheels in a few days.

I think the Comet GT's should of had the spoiler on them from the factory. They just look sharp. The Sprints didnt have them either but mine does now. Put it on, you wont regret it.

    Dennis....

...are you going to be a Comet GT owner soon?

I have seen the spoiler added to Comets. I think part of
the reason that Comet GT's didn't come with the Grabber
rear spoiler is that Grabbers didn't come with the bright
trim package, around the wheelwells and taillight panel.

If you put the Grabber spoiler on, they didn't have the bright
trim in the rear. Maybe you can add it. Also note, there are large
holes in the trunk lid that have to be made to add a Grabber
    spoiler.

the spoiler will fit but the end caps are different(your putting it on the 75 right??) the end caps will only fit the early model small bumper cars 70-73.they have to be modified to fit the 74-77

the bumpers on the late models were lower in relation to the end caps,(as in -the later end caps are longer than the early models)... you will have to graft a set of early model spoiler end caps onto the bottom of the late model endcap. at one time there was a company that had conversion kits avalible for the later cars but I dont know if they are still around..... I grafted my own together before this kit was offered. they turned out well, but it was a pain in the rear to get them nice.

    Thanks for the info

Just when you think you know all the differences, you learn something else new!

It sounds like you put some creativity into it! Did you happen to take any pics?

I'm sure there are a few pics of my car floating around out there, I dont have any way to post them.
yes you can change both the front and or rear bumpers to the early models..you just need all the parts
and just my opinion,......you can alter the big bumpers to look much better. I sectioned ours, made my own mounts for better fitment and changed a few other things on them. www.mustangandfords.com if i put this in right,.go to search , enter maverick.....there are pics of our car there
