Can anyone tell me what size u-bolts to order for my stock 77 Maverick rearend? I ordered some from Auto Krafters but apparently they don't know either. their catalog shows that the correct u bolt for a 75-77 measures 6 1/2 long by 3 1/8 wide, but what they sent me is way to narrow to fit. According to everything I've read on the net, u-bolts are supposed to be measured as picture. If this is correct than I can't figure how AK came up with 3 1/8 wide, when what they sent me measures 2 3/8 and what I seem to need is 2 3/4.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

There's two sizes, one's for a 9" rear (wider in the U) and the narrower for an 8" rear. The 9's mostly have 3" axle tubes, although some had the same smaller tubes found on 8" rears, which are about a 1/4" smaller in diameter.
