I need to swap the tail light panel from my parts car to my car. any tips on removing. things I shouldn't do, etc... top area over lights looks like it may be a p.i.t.a.. the other thing I was wondering is the fuel filler neck. any help or directions to a link would be great.

    thanks in advance!

Just take your time and drill the spot welds. Remove the filler neck, and the quarter extensions. I swapped one year ago, it wasn't too bad.

do I remove the filler neck from the tank and pull up through the back panel or does it just unbolt from the rear panel?

On the 70 there is a rubber coupler between the tank and the filler neck. Just undo it and remove the bolts retaining the filler neck to the panel and remove the neck. Dont forget to seal off the tank to prevent fumes from escaping and something from falling into the tank.
