Rear window interior trim panel removal?

How do you remove the plastic panel right below the inside rear glass? The one on the package tray that runs along the entire back glass about 4-5 thick? I see the 2 side sections come off, then how do get at this long piece of plastic. I need to clean and repaint it. Tom

 

It's not plastic......it is metal and welded to the car. Must be painted in place.

 

Pull the back glass and its pretty easy to repaint. I dont see any other way of doing it.

 

I painted the one in my teal 1970 Grabber with the glass in....so it can be done. Not much fun.

 

Thanks guys. That the reason I asked for information, I just assumed it was screwed in somewhere, somehow, and I missed it. Guess that may half to wait until the headliner is done down the road and the back window pulled.
