Rebuilding a C4?

    When you get a C4 rebuilt,do you still have to use type F fluid? It is becoming really hard to find. :hmmm:

    Always use type F. I get mine at Autozone.:)

    Unless you switch to racing type frictions (which do not work well on the street) you should run type "F" in all C4s. Other fluids lubricate too much and allow the friction material to slip. That generates heat and the heat destroys the C4 FAST!

    Thanks to all! I found I can get it through NAPA auto parts,and pretty reasonably. I use it in my maverick but I wasn`t for sure. The Fairlane also uses it too.
