I'm not sure if I'm understanding your post correctly. :huh:Are you saying you want to put vinyl on the entire car?

im not entirely sure with what we are going to do with the vinyl my friend has got a vinyl shop so he mentioned it joking around......the main thing i am concerned with is trying to ge the ugly metal w/leather insert stripping off the side of the car so i can take the painting process further

Are you talking about the body side trim??? If so,the rear quarter strips are held on with, fasteners.Remove them from inside the trunk(takr inner rear door panels off too)Front fenders are the same way.Doors have clips and studs on the body and fastener at each end of the door where the strip ends.good luck.

Is it an LDO car? with the wide side molding? Do a quick search for LDO, and see what comes up, if it is LDO trim, someone may be interested in it??

Its not hard as long as the nuts all come loose. If its the wide(LDO) trim, try to remove it without damaging it.That bling seems to be desireable, and may net you some extra cash.
