Does anyone have a tutorial for removing all the interior ac/heat components? I can't get the vents pipes out and everything under the passenger dash.
This is just a quick summary for removal, not a complete tutoral. There are 3 nuts on studs that come out in the fire wall on the pasenger side under the hood. You will to remove those. There are also two brackets that mount the unit to the dash and side of the car on the passenger side. You will need to remove those bolts as well. The unit should come out as a whole assembly. You will also need to disconnect the wiring plugs and vent control cables that are under the dash along with a few vacum lines. Pay attenetion to what yu disconnect. You will need to know this when you put it back together. Mark or tag all wires/lines etc. to help you remember how it goes. I am assuming you have already disconnected the wiring/lines/hoses under the hood area. Hope this helps. Allen Small
Thanks, as for putting it back together, I don't plan it. I'm putting my car on a complete diet. Nothing will make the cut. Anyone need an ac system? Idk if it works or not honestly never turned it on. Or been able to keep the engine idling long enough to.
Unless you're building a race car, you should have some source of heat. It's nice on those early morning drives to car shows...
I would add to the above: SAVE YOUR PARTS! Take pictures as you disassemble them, and catalog and box what ever possible.
Thanks, I appriciate that helpful hints, but this thing isbeing built for nice day only driving and autocross.
