I was wondering if anyone has deleted all of their side stainless trim which would include door window frame trim, quarter window frame trim and boomerangs.

I already have my rain gutter trim removed and I'm doing away with the rain gutters completely. My door frame trim is also gone so that only leaves my quarter window trim and boomerangs - Just can't see how it's going to look right without either keeping it all or deleting it all :)

Paint the boomerangs body color or...Fill and finish the seam between the quarter and roof rail/pillar. Since you are scrapping the gutters, it shouldnt be too much worse to finish out the seam that the boomerangs covered... Personally...I think eliminating the gutters takes away from the roof line profile...(Makes the side glass look tall) Do you plan to black out the door frames and quarter glass frame/ B pillar???

I was thinking of painting everything body color. I'd still be using the stainless windshield and back glass trim only. I'm seeing this done on Novas and it doesn't look bad but a Nova doesn't have that large area where the boomerangs sit so I'm not sure what it would all look like deleted.

As long as you finish out that seam...I think it will look just fine...Gonna have to know what your looking at to notice the absence of the trim. It should look good.
PS: Most of those Novas came without the trim on the frames/gutters normally...

I bought a lead kit from Eastwood, as another member on the forum has also done, in order to fill the roof rail seam - I was just going to continue filling in where the boomerangs sit.

Anyone know of any photos showing the end result of this delete?

Stretch a piece of 2 or 3" wide masking tape over the area and spray bomb it with some rattle can primer to make it all look uniform. This will give you a pretty good idea of how it will look finished out...
Stallions had all the trim blacked out...

Found a picture of a Stallion and I can see that all of the side trim is one color. The only difference on mine would be the color, which would be orange.

My Sprint originally had no stainless trim other than the windshield and back glass. The 71 I recently sold was the same way.

As long as you get the boomerang area filled in and looking good...the rest would be a piece of cake.

My Sprint has no side window frame/gutter trim either. The boomerangs are body color from the factory. Guess lack of trim was just as common as...With trim???
