Tired of that fiberglass underhood stuff hangin when I open the hood , the paint looks brand new under that crap and is it ever filthy...
Will it be a tragic mistake to remove it for good , what does it really do , and what would replace it a little nicer looking ??
    Thanx in advance.:drive:

I've seen some for sale on ebay. But, most of the cars never came with it. Won't hurt not having it. might make it look a little cleaner also.:)

Thanx , I am thinking that it might run a little cooler without it , that old 6 banger gets very hot really quick..
That stuff must have been put on in the factory , with all the glue ,maybe they put the blanket on it for cold winters up here in the Great White North , EH !!
Looks much better and cleaner under there without it..:thumbs2:

theres a 72 4 d with an old one in my local junk yard. that i6 u have should run cooler with out it. the i6 is a great engine but it suffers from not "breathing"properly you can get more power buy rebuilbing the carb and putting an open top k&n air filter on top and you will notice a nice littel encreace in horsepower and a lot smoother idle. iv
done this to an engine that sat in a field for 6 years and it ran perfect! i drove it 2 hours home.then changed the oil! it was a fun day. hope thi helps.

My Sprint had the fiber glass blanket. Think I saved it but it wasn't in good shape. DIRTY job to remove it!!!
