I'm wondering if I can get the entire dash pulled out of the car...including glove box area etc. I'm trying to change the interior color. My 73 Maverick has a dark brown interior and the bench seats are torn up, but I have a 74 with pristine bucket seats and the lighter tan interior. Want to know if it's possible to pull everything out or if I should grab the lighter dash pad and paint the rest of the dash.

Its almost impossible to remove the dash without removing the windshield first. Then its pretty easy. I would paint it.

you ask..."I'm wondering if I can get the entire dash pulled out of the car?" the answer is ...YES...do you want to, the answer is...NO. been there done that :yup:
i would suggest pulling the ...pad...and ...painting... the dash.

Yeah, I guess the glass was the last thing to go in, because the dash screws point right at it. You're need some kind of magical 90 degree screw driver to get in there and even then I don't give you good odds of getting the screws out.

I have pulled three dashes without removing the windsheild. I STRONGLY reccomend that you do NOT try it. It is very difficult and will test your patience. You will likely ruin the windshield gasket trying. Just paint the dash that's in there.
