Im want to get the body ready for paint. How do I remove the trim at the bottom of the window on the door? does it just pry up? How about the rain gutter trim and the trim around the side windows (2door car)? Does the back window trim come off like the front windsheild trim does?

    Thanks again.

Lonnie covered the doors well, just take your time and if something sticks, find that spot, get under it and work it loose. Don't just keep pulling hoping it will come off as before you know it, it will bend.

As for the front and rear trim, they have little clips all the way around that lock the moulding to the car. Make sure you remove the 2 screws from the windsheild lower (one on each side). They may be covered with packed in dirt and you might not see them at first. The rear bottom has a whole row of screws and no clips. Open the trunk and remove those screws and it comes right off. NAPA (or all other parts stores would have one too) has a neat little tool that is under $15. It gets behind the clip and releases the trim. Takes a couple tries to get a feel for what you should be doing, but once you know how the clip releases, you can remove all the trim from one window in about a minute. Here is the picture of the tool for Fords. You can look it up online or just tell the NAPA guy you need a chrome tool for a Ford.

The door trim has a screw (or nut) at each end. Open the door and you will find it pretty easily. The rest is just held on by friction clips.
