always nice to see people enjoy themselves lol.. nice work, i love seeing your car comming togeather..
Ahhh Frank... I hope you let the paint dry before you set it on the kitchen table Looking good. funny how its the little things that make a differance. Russ
Looking good Frank. You going to have that car done buy Spring? I hope to see it at some shows next year.
russ, it wasn't painted. i took 1000 grit sand paper and sanded the oxidation off the black plastic and then polished it out with close up toothpaste. did the black hoods to the light buckets the same way. it was a three day labor of love.
HOLY CRAP!!! Frank that's a fair amount of work NICE JOB!! Thats worth 3 'naners :bananaman :bananaman :bananaman Russ
One thing I suggest to people but havent seen it done yet is to paint the orange background on the Maverick badge, the same color as your car. I did it on my 77 just to see what it looks like. I thought it looked great, gave it that little detail that sets things off. But I always remove script cause I like that look better.
i left mine orange to off set the jell cell bat. on the other side. ...frank... jerry, the knee is on the mend. thanks or asking.
I think the emblem is orange behind it to sybolize a "brand". As in, branding a calf or horse. If you look at the 1970 Maverick brochure, on the cover is a red hot branding iron. I guess my orange car already has the color matching grill emblem back ground.
