Does anyone know if i can get new door skins or repair pannels. And if so where from. I know they do them for the old british cars, just haven't found anything for mavericks.
My maverick is rotting away before my eyes. Any help would be great.
    Cheers

about the only thing you can get repop is 1/4 panels from auto krafters, also you can get some fiberglass parts but have heard stories of poor fitment, i guess if you get some good ones they will fit ok. this board has a for sale section and there is quite a lot of parts for sale for mavericks and comets just make a post of the things you want and wait for a reply. good luck wayne

1/4 pannel is from the door back and rocker pannel is the part when you open the door and look down from front fender to rear qrt.....

Sorry to echo bad news, but no door skins are being made for Mavs. Those that have had rusty or damaged doors have either fixed them or replaced them with used ones. Shame you are SOOO far away. I have some doors but they would cost a fortune and your first born to ship them.

I think some bad things were said about that show cars company on here in the past. I'll search around and see if I can find it.

edit: Pages 3, 4, and 5 of this thread starting with post #51 http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=3863&page=3

I think I would stay away from them.

When you say door panel do you mean the interior or exterior...cloth vs metal?

With the classic british cars like mini and Mg, All the body parts are available for people wanting to restore there cars. They even make complete new shells. There are new exterior door skins where you grind off the old outer skin and weld on new ones, no fuss cutting and shaping pieces of metal. Thats what i want otherwise i'll be reaching for the tin snips. Not to keen on fiberglass but in won't rule anything out.
