I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get a replacement Temperature gauge adapter fitting for the 250 i6 motor. By a dumb accident when my brother opened the pack, he dropped the one we needed down the shop drain.
Or better yet can anyone reference me a part number for that piece, that is pretty much what I'm asking.

Your local parts house is a good place to find one.

Yeah your right, but they don't have the one I need. I would hate to buy another gauge just for a fitting.

Then go to another parts house? I'm surprised they wouldn't have something as common as that. My local Advance Auto has three large cabinets with drawers full of about any fitting or adapter you could ever imagine.

Our parts supply house came very close but no cigar, and the workers in my local Advance Auto Part store are major tards, they know nothing about cars but they work in a auto store...stuff like that burns me up.

Adapter fitting, better known as a pipe thread bushing...................Something any Home Depot, Lowes, and all other hardware stores carry................Is that what you're missing ? Or the fitting used with mechanical temp gauges ?

NAPA has these fittings separate, Although you will probably have to look in their GENERAL catalog. Look under the gauges and at the end of the gauge pages they usually have all kinds of the fittings available. You will probably have to point out which one you need . Nearly all parts stores these days have people working that know very little about cars.
