From what I understand, if it has a/c it will have a tint to the window and if it doesn't it won't aside from that they are all the same.

No, with the LDO package in 1972 the windsheild got thicker for a quieter interior. I think it is 2 mils thicker. Either way, it is a different part number for 1972-up. Just use the 1972-up windshield and the 1972-up gasket and everything works fine. The 1970-1 glass is NLA.

The NAGS # for the 1972-1977 windshield is W797.

twg is right, some are tinted. Tint was factory with AC cars and an option on others.

    Doh! you mean...

The 1971 non a/c CAR I bought just to get the windshield (car is junk) out of for my 1972 A/C car has a thinner windshield?
The 71 windshield IS tinted at the top could it be from a later model car? Also I have a new autocrafters windshield weatherstrip, Would it work with a 1971 windshield ?
Do you know what the thickness measurement is so I can mic
the `71 windshield to see if it will work?

Thanks Charlie, I didn't know this. I was under the impression that they were all the same. Again thanks for the update.
