Okay I was all set to order my Hooker 6901's since that what most people are running I understand. Well since I have the column shift on my 73 4dr automatic, they said they will not fit. Can anybody confirm this or is it true and if so what can I do now? :hmmm:

yes and no... if you leave the shifter on the collumn them no you can't.. but if you move the shifter to the floor then yes you can.

that's why if you go back and read my answer to that question. i said that if you run power steering you need the drop bracket and if you have a column shifter you need to move it to the floor. not sure if anyone on here has done it using other mods.:)

I'm sure with modifications you could keep the column shift. Depends on what you are capable of doing.

What is getting in the way from the column shifter. Mine is removed, and all linkage under the firewall, but the lever that is attached to the column below the collapsible is still there. Will this get in the way?
