Reproduction Carpet Quality ...

    Just got a AAC carpet for AutoKrafters ... not anything like the original.

    Original was 2 pieces with a large heel pad ....

    AAC is one piece with small pad ....


    Here is the original ... and the AAC ...

    1972 Maverick Grabber - Color: Orange Also, 1976 Ford Maverick 4-door, 1977 Mercury Comet 2-door.
    Don't think I have ever seen a Maverick with that large of a heel pad???

    I noticed that too Craig...

    dmhines, how well does it lay in there? that's on my list to order soon. anyone else have luck from another company that they would advise to go with for carpet?

    I got mine from ACC as well. The quality is identical to the original BUT the original was 2-piece and the ACC carpet is 1-piece. Two-piece would have been much easier to install...

    I have not installed it yet ... I just layed it out to let it settle since it comes folded and rolled up in a box. My car is still in the body shop. I agree that a two-piece would be easier to install .... I assume AAC makes Mustang carpet in two-pieces so I can't imagine why making Mavericks that way would be a problem ...
