After 5 1/2 years I'm finally getting my grabber back together. I went to finally install the bucket seats today and found that I think maybe I'm missing hardware. I've attached some photos. Each seat has a larger pedistal which I think goes on the outboard front corner of each seat. I also have 2, yes just 2 of these round small pedestals. Can anyone tell me if I have to put one of those at each of the other 3 posts? I can't remember as 1) my driver's seat was broken when I got the car and the passenger seat was sitting on the driver's side, and 2) my memory isn't very good 5 1/2 years back. If it looks like I'm missing hardware, can anyone help me out? Lastly, I think my driver's side has 2 broken studs as they seem very short on the outboard side of the rail. I've attached a photo, would you agree these are broken off? Thanks for any help!
Your studs are broke. The small bell goes on the front inside bolt. The bigger spacer goes on the rear inside bolt.
Agree with Craig ............ I will add, the stud is fairly easy to get out. I use a vise to support the rail from bending and just pop it out with a light hammer blow. A couple seconds of torch heat helps too. For replacements, use at least a grade 5 bolt for accident safety. You don't want a cheap bolt sheering off in a collision. It is 5/16 x 18 tpi and the fronts are 2 1/2" and the rears are 3"
Thanks Craig. So I should only have 2 bells and two larger spacers total? The outboard side bolts right to the floor?
