Resto'd black tail lamps installed/comparison

    Got the tail lamps from this post done and installed tonight.

    Huge difference in brightness with the resto'd lamp.(black)

    This is with the park lights on.

    I think I really like the Black look. Its a bit nastier looking and the lights dont jump out and scream Pinto anymore.

    JoeDirt, I did try the white paint in the second light but we couldnt see any difference. I think the red lense is so nice and clean that the reflection off the rear of the housing isnt a huge factor. Or the silver and white reflect similar. I dunno. Either way I'm really happy with the lights.

    with the black stripe in your tail panel i think the black look best the other contrast too much

    Thanx. What actually got me thinking about trying to brighten up the lights a bit was my Hooters meet and greet video. I noticed my tail lights were pretty dim. When I saw this set for 10 bucks I figured I could try to get some more light and black them out. 2 birds with one stone thing.

    I like the blacked out look. I was going to go the 70 Grabber style on mine (rear panel, spoiler and end caps black with silver bezels) but I'm still thinking about black taillights and just the rear panel.???

    LOL. Yep good old Chrysler five star wear. Hah they cant even fix our uniforms first visit.
