Cool. Brings back memories of my '84 GT I had...I used to hit the gears just like that, except like Dennis said, the right foot stayed planted. It was prolly a little hard on the T5... That car in the vid sounded like a good ol' high winding cleveland if I had to guess. I think 4V Clevelands and toploaders were a match made in heaven.
I can`t watch it get to fired up and want to go out and rip gears with my mav. I think in car cameras are cool. Any other of you drag racers do it.
Going by sound i thought he hit his shift points pretty good..if he had shifted at the light I think he would have short shifted..in a pass where I wasn't concerned with consistancy I'd shift by sound in a clutch car....
I did notice it. I figure he is either a novice or he just isn't too worried about consistency. I tend to agree with Rick...maybe he just needs to adjust his light.
I have my shift light set sooner so it draws my eye to the tach. So I can see the RPM when I want to shift it
