On my 75 4 door, 302/AC,can someone tell me what the rim width is?

I think ive found some tires for the sleeper project. Thumbin' thru the summit catalog i see that M/T Indy Profile S/S tires in G60-14 will do what i want, RWL inside.
25.3" dia. ,8.0" wide. Recommended rim width is 6.5-8.0.

    Now the big ?

Is the stock rim wide enough for these tires?

anyone have any input on these tires?

    Thanks
    Tim

My factory Mags are 14x7. They would fit mine. I use 245/60R-14 BFGs on the rear. The 245/60R-14 lists in summit: 7.0-8.5 rim width, 25.6 OD, 8.0 tread width.

The "factory" rim on that car would be no wider than 6".

You'll have either 4.5" or 6" factory wheels. I've known people to use that tire on a 6" wheel.

    Hey tbirdz12,
Love that sleeper. If I were you, I would check out what Vintage Wheel's can do for you. I would have them make me a pair of 14x8's with a 4 1/4 offset. These would keep your sleeper appearance.
