Hey guys, thought I'd share some pics of my progress. I'm just waiting for a radiator and a fan and she's ready to rock. It took about 4 months to build.

Thanks guys! Yeah that is the Smav in the reflection (RIP). Speaking of tower braces, I was going to run the Total Control tubular braces. Does anyone know if the Falcon or Mustang versions fit Mavericks?

    awesome car man....

...the only bad parts about so-calers is there cars are so great:bowdown:, i'm in the little league compared to these guys.

i think the stang ones are too wide..i know the 66 falcon one is two inches bigger i measured one

But you could always modify them

Thanks Derek. It's actually sitting on stock suspension. Calvert leafs with 1-inch lowering blocks. The tires are 275/60/15s I believe. I also have some M/T wheels for it, but I think I like the DragLites better, it fits with the whole "Mexican rocketship" aura the car's got going. I was going to black-out the hood (Grabber style) too, but now that I look at it I think I'm going to slap a cage in it and call it good. I definitely am going to do the 1-piece braces. I have a feeling the tubular versions from Total Control will be too tough to modify decently.

MPG Heads in Colorado offer the tower braces also. I believe guys are using the Falcon kits and modifying them for the Maverick/Comet

Thanks Octavian, it's been a mad thrash for months. Let's get some rules together for a heads-up Maverick shootout for the "King Maverick" title! I'll need the leave though....:D
