Tomorrow, Mavman72 (Pete) will be driving from Buffalo NY in his Sprint, to my house (London, ON) and together we will drive to the Round Up. In 23 years of owning a Maverick, this will be the longest trip, I have ever done in any Maverick. So the "Trailer Queen" will get a good run, it'll be the longest trip it's been on, since it was driven here from California in 2000. Pete will have close to a 2 and a half hour drive from his place to mine, so I'm it'll be quite an experience for him. I'll have some ice cold beverages waiting for him. I doubt I'll sleep a wink tonight....I'm excited.
How far frm ur house to RU? I will be leaving tommorrow also. My car has been running well - I hope the trend continues. If all goes well I hope to be there early afternoon. I do think I will not have a problem sleeping. Have a safe trip.
Pretty funny that Pete has to drive THRU Canada just to get to Michigan. Probably our first member to drive THRU a foreign country to get to the Roundup Nationals!!
Awesome - I can't wait to get going too! I did the front end alignment yesterday and finished up a few odds and ends. Put about 10 miles on the car after the sun went down a bit, just see how everthing was running. Those are the most miles put on the car in one time since 1985 ......... dance: Will polish her up and get her on the trailer for departure Thursday early AM. You guys have a safe trip - see you in DEARBORN!
just remember your 1/2", 9/16" wrench and a screw driver or two and you will be able to fix most anything....actually you could probably even take the car apart if you wanted 2!!
MMM Frosty beverages!!! My Dad and I will certainly be ready for em when we get to London Dave. Never considered the whole driving through another country to get there thing...It knocks about 41/2 hrs off the trip going through Canada. Not to mention just plain easier. I'm soo whooped from work I will probably sleep like a corpse tonight.......If I ever go to bed...LOL...
great to hear you are driving for once...:Handshake i'll leave Ind. in the morning for about a seven hour drive on the last leg of my trip there... ...see everyone tomorrow...
Yup! Have the route plotted and layed in. See ya saturday Darren. I really should go to bed now...LOL...G'nite all!!!
