Hi, my new weatherstripping should be coming next week, and looking at my old ones, I was wondering if there was a special way to get the old roof rail weather stripping out of the windlace, so I can put the new weatherstripping on. Is it glued in there, or what. Hopefully, I don't need to get new windlace too. How is it kept in there, so if I get it out, I can glue, etc the new one in? Thanks all.

Its all glued and/or molded together. The new stuff comes the same way so you dont need any of the old stuff. Also if your interior is black your in luck cause thats the only color the windlace comes in. Any other color & you'll have to mask off the rubber part to paint the windlace part. A real pain in the tail.

Thanks Mavaholic! After I posted I was wondering if they came in one piece. Then I went to the garage, and could only find one old windlace, so I thought I was hosed. Thanks for the info, I feel better. I guess I should bust out the masking tape, and the dye, since my interior is light tan. Thanks again.
