I know how everyone likes pictures so here is my homemade rotisserie. The thing is just great, it saves so much time and not to mention saving my back from laying on the floor. I'm about half way done cleaning all paint & undercoating off the floor pan. then on the the body work. I used to Harbor frieght engine stands and bought some extra steel to lengthen the uprights and make them more stable from tipping. I can spin the car with one hand very easy. Maybe this will help someone to deside to make there own!

Very nice. I think that's how Tom Hackmann built his, more or less.

Cool, I am jealous....I just spent 2 hours under and above my car. Too bad you can't use it with the engine and suspension installed...THAT would be cool and save a crapload of time...

Well scooper if you took the bumpers off and drained the fluids in the car and built each stand to hold 2500-3000 lbs each it might work. But not for me Thanks to all. Hope it will help someone. so much info on this site has helped me.(y)

Any problems with not having the 2 stands tied to each other?

I have had no problems without the center bar. If I were to put them on castors them i would have tied the two together. Total cost was $40.00 For each stand and $94.00 for the additional steel I bought and some misc. nuts & bolts, Thats It. Thanks for all the kind words and if anyone wants specifics on how I did it, PM or email me. I will be glad to help!!
