I have a 72 with a 250 and automatic. It has a rebuilt dist with a pertronix ing module. The problem is an intermittent rough idle. It will idle well for a while then gets very rough with the vacume guage reading "late ing timing". The timing is set at 10 deg and otherwise runs well. I do also have an intermittent lifter ticking. I have not been able to link the 2 together as they do not always coencide.:16suspect

I would like to get your opinions before I replace the module. I also have a dsII dist and moduke from a "running" car that I could install. I understand that the hot wire goes to a switched ing source. any one know of a good place to locate this?

    Thanks as always:tiphat:

make sure you chek for vac leaks, espically between the carb and intake.

    good luck
